Even though the council is not conducting summer camp at Camp Wapello, the Mitigwa Lodge still wants to help improve and preserve the camp for the Scouts that utilize it. This is a Brotherhood work day and if you are eligible, a Brotherhood ceremony will be held Saturday night. Anyone who completed their Ordeal at Fall Fellowship last year or earlier is eligible for Brotherhood.

The weekend starts at 7:00 p.m. Friday night with a cracker barrel. Saturday, we will begin with breakfast, followed by work projects beginning at 8:00 a.m. and continuing throughout the day. Lunch and dinner will be provided and a cracker barrel will be held to celebrate the new Brotherhood members.

Sunday will see a continental breakfast and then everyone will depart Camp Wapello knowing they helped make it a better place.

Cancellation Policy: COUNCIL EVENT FEES REFUND POLICY All activities offered through the Mid-Iowa Council require significant planning and purchasing of materials well in advance. These plans include, but are not limited to, staffing; food; program materials; patches; awards; facility rental; equipment and in some cases, clothing such as T-shirts, that are provided as part of the program fee. When an individual or unit makes a reservation, the expenses related to that event are incurred to support registration. REFUND POLICY Reservations cancelled at least thirty (30) days prior to the first day of an event will receive a 90% refund. Cancellations less than thirty (30) days prior to the event will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given for cancellations made the day of an event. All cancellations must be made directly to the Clayman Scout Service Center in writing, or by calling (515)266-2135 or toll-free (800)999-7268 and then confirmed in writing. COUNCIL EVENT CANCELLATION POLICY It is the policy of the Mid-Iowa Council that all scheduled events will be held as scheduled if at all possible. In the event that conditions make a cancellation necessary, the following procedures will be followed: *The notice of cancellation will be posted on the council website as soon as such decision is made. *If access to the website is unavailable, or the authorized web personnel are inaccessible, then the notice of cancellation will be posted on the voicemail of the district?s professional staff under which the event is registered. *Other means, such as local media sources or electronic mail contact professional staff or the volunteer event chair, may also be used in addition to the above listed options. The decision to cancel a particular event will be made by the volunteer chair of the event with the advisement and approval of the district?s professional staff. That decision is final.
