Cub Scout Overnight Adventure

6:00 pm – 8:30 am

 

Astronomy and Science 

Belt Loop and Pin requirements will be earned while at the SCI Overnight.

                              

                              Overnight Adventure includes:

·         Visit the Planetarium

·         Find the North Star

·         Focus a Telescope

·         Meet an Astronomer

·         Program on past and present Space Missions

·         Draw your own Solar System

·         Plant a Seed

·         Use simple Machines

·         Learn about Bones and the Human Skeleton

·         See the IMAX Movie

·         Snack

·         And much, much more………..

                    

                               Schedule for the night:

·         6pm – 6:30pm Registration and free time for everyone inside SCI

·         6:30pm – 11pm Program Sessions, Snack, IMAX film(Dolphins)

·         11:30pm – Sleeping among the Experience platforms

·         7:00am – Wake up

·         7:30am – Breakfast, Exploration time & the Aha Store open

·         8:30am – Event completed; next day free admission to the SCI
Each tiger cub (1st Grader) must be accompanied by an adult

Wolf, Bear, and Webelos are required to have a 10 scout to 2 adult ratios per Pack.
(Dens can be mixed, tiger adults can not double as a Wolf, Bear, and Webelos leaders)

 Registration will close on March 16th or when 200 participants have signed up, which ever comes first.

Cancellation Policy: All activities offered through the Mid-Iowa Council require significant planning and purchasing of materials well in advance. These plans include, but are not limited to, staffing; food; program materials; patches; awards; facility rental; equipment and in some cases, clothing such as T-shirts, that are provided as part of the program fee. When an individual or unit makes a reservation, the expenses related to that event are incurred to support registration. REFUND POLICY Reservations cancelled at least thirty (30) days prior to the first day of an event will receive a 90% refund. Cancellations less than thirty (30) days prior to the event will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given for cancellations made the day of an event. All cancellations must be made directly to the Clayman Scout Service Center in writing, or by calling (515)266-2135 or toll-free (800)999-7268 and then confirmed in writing.
