Troop Booth Exhibits

We ask your unit to put on its own live interactive exhibit. We would like to see exhibits with Scouting skills that get the public involved. We will have areas lined up along the sidewalk outside the main entrance so keep it simple but make it interesting!! First aid, knots and lashings, keep an open mind and do whatever is in your units personality! We want to see every unit take part in this so be prepared for any weather.

Every show, whether indoors, outdoors, or a combination of both, has to meet three basic objectives to be successful:

                1. Attract interest and attention

                2. Be action oriented; including the youth members as well as the audience.

                3. Motivate and stimulate those watching to participate in the booth activity.

Be prepared for your live interactive exhibit to last about three hours. Troop exhibit sessions will be 8am to 11am and 1pm to 4pm. Troops will be split between morning and afternoon sessions. The rest of the time is yours to do with as you wish. Visiting the other units exhibits and all the Bass Pro and District exhibits. You will also be able to contribute to a district gateway adorning the main front entry to Bass Pro Shops!

We will be camping in the area near the Bass Pro Shop for the weekend and there will be limited water available so come prepared! Only above ground fires are allowed.

Saturday evening we will end our festivities with the coveted Scout spirit award presentation and a closing Campfire and Pow wow presented by members of the Hawk Eye Chapter of Order of the Arrow.
